Can you clone jedi

Registered: Jan 6, I was watching AOTC the other day, and I started wondering what the clone army would've been like if it had been generated from a jedi clone rather than Jango.

I know they wouldn't automatically have the skills of a trained jedi, but you'd have pretty decent raw material I would've thought. Would the clones have the same midichlorian count as the donor? Registered: Jun 1, It's mentioned in the Episode III visual dictionary, that the Kaminoans were anxious to try cloning a midichlorian-rich person, but never got the chance to. Haven't seen that. Registered: Mar 16, This is one of the reasons I think Lucas created the Midichlorians.

Something that is not practical. And, assuming this is not the case, Sidious would not want an army of force sensitives running around, the whole point of the clones was to get rid of such a thing. Yeah, in the first instance, I didn't see jedi as being used, but once the Clone War was underway, I thought the jedi might have thought it not a bad idea.

I guess it's all tied up in the Sifo Dyas mystery. Registered: Jun 2, Because they were stupid. Haha can you imagine if they cloned little yodas. That one stupid word will haunt us the rest of our lives. You got to remember they're beyond the outer rim; therefore, they have little contact with outsiders. Besides, it would have looked suspicious if a Kaminoan walked up to a Jedi with that request. Kaminoan: Oh, hi, we'd like to clone you so we can create an army for the Republic.

Jedi: What??? SapphireAD , Jun 2, In the question you linked someone suggests the midichlorian are something similar to the mitochondria, hence something that is part of the cell. That means that clones will have the same midichlorians.

All the examples you have posted seem to confirm this. The Khommites are all clones, and it turned out that the entire line of Dorsk clones were Force-sensitive.

Related One issue with this theory is the canonical process of cloning Force sensitivity as detailed in the Rise of Skywalker novelization. According to the book, Force-sensitive beings can either be cloned perfectly without Force abilities, or be Force-sensitive and have a disfigured body, like Snoke or Palpatine.

However, Palpatine was aiming for an outrageously strong, Force-wielder. A boy with only levitating-broom powers may havev been considered a failure and cast out.

The Inverse Analysis — Whether or not this theory is canon remains to be seen, but the concept of clones raises some interesting questions about the impact of nature vs. Temeri is implied to become a Jedi or at least part of the Rebel Alliance through his assistance of Rose and Finn, so it's interesting that someone genetically identical to Palpatine, the most powerful Sith Lord, would have such a different path. Could Sheev have been reformed had he lived a humbler upbringing?
